well as publishing anthologies of text and image Alec has realised a
number of digital animaions.
WORDWOOD features 144 mesostic poems by children aged form
six to fourteen. The animation, growing part by part, render the process
of composition visible. They also reveal layered poems within poems,
as if we were watching an episode of time - lapse photography.

a Milton Keynes Gallery off-site project for which Alec and a number
of collaborators grew and harvested two varieties of wheat. The digital
animation describes the entire process using a combination of mesostic
poems and photographs.
