are invited to contribute to a book and archive, Some Old Chestnuts,
a collection of those perennial questions that are easy to recognise
but notoriously difficult to resolve.
Whether they refer to problematic situations or light-hearted jokes,
Old Chestnuts often resemble traps or puzzles - they unsettle our
purposes and challenge our representations of the world. While some
Old Chestnuts have been cracked and some left behind, other still
exercise and amuse us.
